Texas RE PREP™ is an independent practice platform focused on the State Portion of the Texas real estate license exam — the part of the exam most out-of-state pre-licensing courses cover only briefly.
The Texas real estate license exam
To become a licensed real estate sales agent in Texas, a candidate must pass an exam administered by Pearson VUE on behalf of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). The exam has two parts: a National (Uniform) portion, common to most states, and a Texas State Portion covering Texas-specific law, rules, and practice. Both portions must be passed to be eligible for a license.
Why just the State Portion
Most pre-licensing courses are built around the National portion, since it's shared across states, and treat the State Portion as an afterthought. That's backwards for a Texas candidate: the State Portion is where out-of-state material doesn't help. We built Texas RE PREP™ to focus on exactly that gap.
