Pass the State Portion of the Texas Real Estate Exam
Most exam prep is built around the National portion, since it's shared across states, and treats the Texas-specific State Portion as an afterthought. Texas RE PREP™ is built the other way around.
Two portions, one gap
The Texas real estate license exam, administered by Pearson VUE on behalf of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), has a National (Uniform) portion covering real estate principles most states share, and a State Portion covering Texas-specific law and practice. National prep courses are built for the first one — it's the part they can sell in every state. That leaves the Texas-specific half thin everywhere else.
What we do instead
We only prepare candidates for the Texas State Portion. One product, one exam section, no dilution across fifty states' worth of generic content. If you've already got the National portion covered, this is where you close the gap.
Before you start
You still need to complete TREC's approved pre-licensing education before you can sit the exam — that requirement doesn't change, and this isn't a substitute for it. Texas RE PREP™ is exam-day practice for after your coursework is done.
Where we are
Texas RE PREP™ is newly launched and we're actively building out the State Portion question bank. We'd rather tell you that plainly than oversell what's here today.
Frequently asked questions
What does Texas RE PREP cover?
Texas RE PREP™ is focused practice for the State Portion of the Texas real estate license exam — the Texas-specific law and rules section, not the National (Uniform) portion. Most pre-licensing courses treat the State Portion as an afterthought; we built this specifically to close that gap.
How much does it cost?
$29.99, one time. That unlocks the State Portion question bank and mock exams for 3 months — no subscription, no auto-renewal. After 3 months you can purchase again at the then-current price if you still need access.
Is this official TREC exam prep?
No. Texas RE PREP™ is an independent practice platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) or Pearson VUE, who administer the actual exam. We help you prepare for it.
Do I still need to complete pre-licensing education?
Yes. TREC requires completing its approved pre-licensing courses before you can sit the exam — that requirement doesn't change, and we don't replace it. Texas RE PREP™ is exam-day practice for after your coursework is done, not a substitute for it.
What's the difference between the National and State portions of the exam?
The exam Pearson VUE administers for TREC has two portions: a National (Uniform) portion covering real estate principles most states share, and a State Portion covering Texas-specific law and practice. Many national study guides are built around the National portion and shortchange the State Portion — which is exactly what we focus on.
Is the question bank fully built out yet?
We're newly launched and actively building out the State Portion content. We'd rather say that plainly than oversell what's here today.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of purchase, as long as you haven't started a paid mock exam, answered a question, or viewed your results. Full policy is in our Terms of Service.
